RoeblingFest welcomes Mercedes-Benz of Fort Mitchell as Presenting Sponsor for 2014.

Dan Bell, Marketing Manager Mercedes-Benz of Fort Mitchell, said, “we are both proud and thrilled to be the Presenting Sponsor of RoeblingFest 2014. This iconic landmark, so rich in history, is something that Northern Kentuckians, Cincinnatians and visitors from everywhere enjoy each day.”

Bell, continued, “its spectacular profile, especially when lit at night, adorns the skylines on both sides of the river. It is important for the region to support its preservation and beauty.”

Mercedes-Benz of Fort Mitchell along with The Mercedes-Benz Club (Cincinnati Chapter) is forming a convoy that will drive the streets of Covington and Cincinnati. The ride will finish by crossing over the John A. Roebling Bridge to RoeblingFest where owners will display a variety of models.

Gateway Community and Technical College is also an event sponsor and community partner.

History is a focus of the event, with guided tours of the bridge, Riverside Drive architecture and statues, the Covington floodwall murals, and visits to the Daniel Carter Beard House. History fans can browse displays of historic photographs and artifacts by the Covington-Cincinnati Suspension Bridge Committee, the Kenton County Public Library, the Behringer-Crawford Museum, and others. Silent auction and raffles for Trips to the Top of the John A. Roebling Bridge and sales of limited-edition Roebling Bridge prints and other bridge merchandise will help pay to upgrade the bridge’s decorative lighting.

Local restaurants such as Keystone, Molly Malone’s, and Blinker’s will serve their most popular dishes, and local beers will be featured (soft drinks will also be available). RoeblingFest also showcases a full day of live music.

Visitors can also browse an art show and sale by local artists. There will be a variety of activities for kids to enjoy. So you can see there will be lots to offer for all ages.

The event benefits and is presented by the nonprofits Covington-Cincinnati Suspension Bridge Committee, the Roebling Point Business Association, and Renaissance Covington. Other RoeblingFest supporters include Anchor Properties, Rookwood Pottery, and Yelp.

Free parking will be available in the Yoke Lot, along Greenup Street just north of 3rd Street, or in the Midtown garage at Scott & 5th Streets.
